JAKARTA, July 22 (Reuters) - State-owned PT Semen Gresik, Indonesia's largest cement maker, said on Monday its total cement sales, including exports, fell 15.7 percent year-on-year to 1.26 million tonnes in June due to a larger drop in export sales.

In a statement Gresik said its total domestic sales also declined 5.6 percent to 7.0 million tonnes in the first half of the year, from 7.42 million in the same period last year.

Cement sales in June were also slightly lower compared to May, when Gresik sold 1.30 million tonnes.

Gresik's exports fell 32.9 percent year-on-year to 316,012 tonnes in June, versus 470,828 million tonnes in the same month last year.

Gresik also said Indonesia's total domestic cement consumption in June fell 14 percent to 2.03 million tonnes from 2.36 million tonnes last year.

Mexican cement giant Cemex <CEMEXCPO.MX> (nyse: CX - news - people) owns 25.5 percent of Gresik and has been negotiating to buy a majority stake in the state-run firm.
