ATTENTION AMERICAN LEGACY SUBSCRIBERS & READERS!

Please note that publication of American Legacy magazine is delayed. We are in the process of raising new investment capital and as such will resume our regular quarterly publication schedule once this effort is completed. As a subscriber you will not miss any issues in your subscription. Our subscription records will continue to be updated on a regular basis. We sincerely apologize for the delay and appreciate your continued support as we celebrate African-American history and culture not just in February, but throughout the entire year. Although publication of the magazine is delayed you may still purchase copies of American Legacy's Know Your History board game and DVD series from our website. In addition, be sure to check for updates on our website regarding American Legacy's "Know Your History" Mobile Truck Exhibit tour coming to a city near you beginning in February 2012.

We thank you for your patience and support!

Since the inception of American Legacy over 16 years ago the magazine has been dedicated to preserving the untold rich history, culture and legacy of African- American’s in America. Today American Legacy remains the only national magazine whose editorial content focuses exclusively on African- American history and culture. The images that appear in American Legacy serve as a source of inspiration, especially for our youth. Over the years American Legacy has created a multitude of products developed from the magazine including www.americanlegacymag.com our website, “Heritage Moments” a nationally syndicated television program produced and hosted by Tim Reid, The "Know Your History Board Game,” the family board game about African American history and culture; an 18-wheel “Mobile Truck Exhibit”, "The American Legacy Challenge" a trivia competition for high school students and a “Black History Curriculum Guide,” – a resource for educators seeking to integrate multicultural studies into their curriculum in the classroom. We’ve held many events across the country since 1995 including our “Women of Strength & Courage Awards”, “Men of Honor & Distinction Awards”, “Multicultural Healthcare Awards” along with numerous health fairs, financial seminars, genealogy workshops and family reunion workshops in partnership with our advertisers. Yes, we are certainly proud of the work that we’ve produced and the goals we have accomplished over the past 16 years!

Recognizing the ever shifting world of new technology and today’s rapidly changing atmosphere, we have expanded our product line to include a digital edition available through www.zinio.com. But our work is not done.

While 2011 has been a very difficult year, American Legacy remains committed to celebrating African- American history and culture throughout the entire year, not just in February during Black History Month!

We are very excited about several new partnerships we’ve developed which will not only enhance the company’s visibility and presence in the marketplace, these partnerships offer great growth opportunities for the company. Our educational products which include the board game, mobile truck, curriculum guide, American Legacy Challenge and a “student edition” of the magazine are currently being tested by a major educational publisher in the Michigan area. Our ultimate objective is to launch this initiative nationally through the K-12 schools that they currently serve. We’ve also developed a partnership with a major multinational travel company to create opportunities for African-American travelers to discover their cultural heritage through travel. You’ll hear more about these exciting travel opportunities in early 2012.

As we approach 2012 we ask that you continue to support our efforts as we navigate through this difficult time period. We’re working everyday to “hold our history in trust for those who have yet to be born.”

With my best, I am,

Rodney J. Reynolds
