In 1935, Frederick McKinley Jones inv the Thermo King, a device, or piece of equipment, that kept food items cold on long Before then, meats and fruits spoiled o journeys because the trucks that carried t were not refrigerated. Jones figured out how to make air coolers that were small enough to fit inside of trucks, trains, ships, and airplanes. For the first time, meats, fruits, and vegetables stayed fresh when carried over long distances.
