Layoff Tracker Update: Nov. 27, 2002

The latest job cuts at Forbes 500s companies:

  • Arlington, Va.-based US Airways Group (otc: UAWGQ - news - people ) said it will cut another 2,500 workers, or about 7% of the workforce, over the next three months. US Airways has already trimmed its employee base by almost 2,500 jobs since it filed for bankruptcy in August. Its workforce is nearly 30% smaller than it had been before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
